Jeff Behary · underground artist
MUSEUM CURATOR · ELECTRICAL HISTORIAN · ENGINEER · DISSIDENT
HIGH VOLTAGE PROPS FOR TELEVISION & FILM INDUSTRIES

phone:  (954) 253-3529

Jeff Behary started off life as an underground artist living in Pittsburgh.  Being inspired by Andy Warhol, he decided to take the path less-traveled in life.  He learned metal working with the help of his Dad, learned to cast metal and became a self-taught machinist, a trade he kept for 20 years.  His private machine shop was better equipped than many places where he worked.  Through the years he started collecting odds and ends (mainly odds).  It started off with coffee grinders and espresso machines, and gradually merged into medical quackery and electro-scientific items.  The website started 20 years ago at what was first just a hobby...but it grew and grew.  As a machinist he had the ability not only to repair broken machines but build complete replicas of machines that no longer existed.  He became well-known around the world in high voltage engineering.

People would call from around the world wanting to visit and learn more.  In the end he had more than 100 complete strangers visit his home each year.  He would feed them and give them copious amounts of alcohol...  word spread that it wasn't a typical museum.  Jeff managed to catch the eye of many people... dissidents... writers... musicians... historians... physicians... artists... OSHA ...the FBI... even the Czech President.  And word also grew quick in Hollywood that Jeff was quick to do things no one else would do on camera...  like steal history.  Or conduct a half-million volts through his body.  Or build props never made before on a minutes notice.   This led him to be on dozens of TV shows and documentaries around the world.  He also helped author several books, many dissertations, and provided numerous photos and historical documents for TV shows, books, and magazines around the world.

Jeff became a trusted resource for the family of Nikola Tesla, being one of the only people in the world to authentically replicate much of Tesla's work.  Leland Andersen, famous Tesla historian once said "Jeff is the only one of all of you with his head screwed on straight".  William Terbo, Tesla's closest family member, often used Jeff as a reference.

In 2016, Jeff and his colleague Frank Jones drove over $30,000 worth of antique Tesla machines cross-country for the future museum and science center at Wardenclyffe.
His collection is now proudly displayed at RGF Environmental Group.  He continues to collect items and is currently re-launching himself into the field after a few years intermission... time to wreck havoc again!

I dreamed my whole life of being front page on the BBC, but instead something better happened:  My best buddy landed the spot.  Even ahead of Trump :)
