Thomas Stanley Curtis Reproduction:  Small Oudin Resonator
I built this coil for Frank Jones.  Its mounted on a solid 3/4" slab of bakelite.  A 1/4" bakelite machined socket
accepts the secondary coil, and underneath the base a strap of copper connects this to the left binding post.
The binding posts were hand-made and  fashioned after H. G. Fischer's Diathermy posts - and have the original
27 thread pitch!

KISS - Keep It Simple, Stupid!  (I need to follow this more often!)

Pigeon's eye view.  The top is also Bakelite.

A real hobbiest coil - the form was handmade out of tar paper and resin.  The bakelite was a gift from my Dad.

I polished the top a bit.  Need to do a bit more buffing.  Copper strap and cardboard are used for the primary - an age-old formula.
